About

Bodgers were highly skilled itinerant wood-turners, who  cut timber and converted it into chair legs by turning it on a pole lathe. Their equipment was so easy to move and set up that it was easier to go to the timber and work it there than to transport it to a workshop.

Times have changed.

Like the Bodgers of old, I make fine rocking chairs and woodturnings by hand.  These days though, it is much easier to bring the timber to the workshop than the other way around.

Oh yes, and my lathe is electric.

I can be reached via telephone, email or the contact form below. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning my work.
