New Workshop Renovation

The past 18 months have been extremely busy for us.  In our relocation from Virginia to Colorado we ended up moving TWICE and ended up here in Conifer, Colorado.  This of course has meant that I haven’t been able to build a thing as I had no place to unpack my tools and call it a workshop.  Luckily, that has changed.

Our new place is in the mountains with a view of the city lights of Denver.  The house is a fixer-upper which keeps me very busy, but also includes a 1000 square foot workshop!  The workshop/garage is already wired for 220v and has a water supply so my equipment and hydration needs have already been met.

This is a picture of the shop.  It is cement and cinder block construction with a storage/apartment space above.  In the coming weeks, weather permitting, I hope to insulate and finish the exterior before moving to the inside.

Over the coming weeks I plan on updating this blog to document the creation of what I hope to be a world class shop.  I’d love to hear from you with any suggestions you might have so keep checking back!

I am interested in learning woodturning like a bodger. I have taken some woodworking already. Are you still planning on classes?
